50 years ago today (Sunday 3rd March) sees the 50th Anniversary of the loss of 4 members of Davenport Rugby Club.

The four were returning from the France v England 5 Nations match in Paris when the
McDonnell Douglas DC-10 crashed into the Ermenonville Forest, outside Paris, killing all 335 passengers, and 11 crew on board. Today our juniors playing at Headlands Road and at Bowdon observed a minutes silence in memory of the four.
