May was the wife of VP and long time touch runner Steve. She was born in May 1951, hence her name, and she and Steve were married on 26th August 1972, so had just passed their Golden Anniversary. She and Steve had two sons, Simon and Nick. May had accompanied Steve when he worked and lived in a number of countries overseas, particularly in Canada, where they lived in Vancouver for a number of years.

I'm sure that many of us will forever remember May, and our thoughts go out to Steve and all her family and friends at this sad time.
